Stolen from everyone:

give me a character (or a few) and i'll show you what they would look like if they switched genders and i'll even give you a reaction to the change, or a few details about their 'new' life.

Evelyn Janie Smith ~ Evan James Smith

[alex evans iconed by [info]english ]

If Eve had any feelings about her transformation, she kept them entirely to herself. The day it happened, there was a short note in the journals warded to Niles, Hiram, her brother, and Katey. It read, “It seems that I’m a bloke now. This changes nothing. Please go about your business as usual.”

This was a fairly apt statement, because it did seem as though very little changed. Eve had always been very gender fluid, so this whole thing--while incredibly disconcerting--didn’t really pose much of a problem. He figured that he already didn’t have much chance with blokes, so this wasn’t that much of a setback. And he’d never exactly identified strongly with femininity or female-ness.

In his sixth year, he briefly experimented with women (specifically, Cassidy Carmichael), but found the experience to be... disappointing. Cassidy had been great and everything, but he found that he had little desire to touch lady-parts, and even less skill when it came to doing so. He hadn’t ever had particular success playing with his own girly-bits, so when someone else’s were brought in... he just sucked. Point blank.

In his early twenties he began a long, mostly not emotionally abusive relationship with a muggle boy around his same age. They stayed together for a good ten years or so, but Evan eventually decided that commitment wasn’t for him. He was too much like his mom that way. He and the other man stayed good friends.

He eventually graduated and achieved all his grand goals. The only thing that irked him is that his achievements would have been more impressive if he didn’t have male privilege on his side.

Katey'd be like what. It seems like the other 5th year Hufflepuffs would be so chill with the whole gender-bending thing so she'd be like "okay, I'm cool with it if you are!" though I feel like if it were her she'd have a harder time taking it in stride!

Well, Eve would definitely be freaked out. She would just be all "IT'S COOL GUYS. I GOT THIS." I mean, at the end of the day I don't think it would bug her that much. She was never terribly female to begin with. She's always identified somewhere in the middle.

I think it'd be pretty freaky for anyone, LOL. But I feel like Marlin is a lot like that only reversed, ha. 5th year Puffs ftw!
