not as cute as I meant it to be, but still fairly cute
Who: Evie and Katey.
What: Homework of course.
Prompt: Eve and Kate (preferably with Kate being hopeless), from the lovely miss [info]wonderment

There are many things Eve simply cannot stand.

These are just a few:
-Insincere apologies
-People who assume things with no just cause
-People who take her moods too seriously
-People who do not take her moods seriously enough
-Painfully adorable couples
And last but not least,
-Slackers

Among things she does not care for, but can tolerate is:
-Hopeless cases

On this particular day, Katey (a truly hopeless case) was acting upon one of Eve’s biggest pet peeves (slacking). To an objective observer, this slacking may have appeared to be an inability to pay attention, rather than a willing disregard for work. However, Eve was nothing if not subjective.

She watched from over her book (non required reading, for a change) as Katey tried and failed to finish her work. It was a particularly tedious assignment for History of Magic, involving the detailed mapping of a very complicated family tree. Eve could tell from her look of frustration that she wasn’t doing very well. Even the little genius herself had come to a spot of bother when it came to who begat whom, and who married whose cousin. Eve’s personal opinion was that you could power through anything if you concentrated hard enough, but this was clearly a skill Katey had yet to learn.

If it were anyone else, she would stay out of it.

Let them screw up.

It wasn’t her problem.

She was obligated to do nothing.

Not her problem.

She sighed.

“You’re doing it wrong. Let me help you.”

Aww, I love it!! I think it's super cute! I love how Eve looks out for her because sometimes she really needs it. Poor, hopeless Katey!

Despite totally shirking her real-life older sister duties, she's amazingly willing to take on the role for Katey. I don't totally know why, but it's wonderful and I love it.

Katey appreciates it as she doesn't really have her big brother around!! And I totally love it, too!
